 (The Impossibility of Innocence)

Recycled foam, natural palm, traffic paint, Installation

Starting from the concept of sedimentation, from the painting as accumulated residue, hardened matter and a constructed environment, I set up a spatial narrative that denotes wear and tear, exploring possibilities through the random and the hazardous. The Impossibility of Innocence is an installation made from a series of works that generate a tension from the matter and the color of the architecture in the Celda Contemporánea Gallery (Contemporary Cell). Using elements of urbanization and the artificial landscape, I generate a relationship between the use of the paint and architectural structures as a way to make evident the fiction of progress through its own collapse. The pieces are made with different materials such as blocks of recycled foam, natural plants, paint for road signs and city waste.
